Which is the best cardio machine for me?

I'm not saying there's  anything better than the other or something works better than the other, as almost everything in life, it all depends on the person doing the job more than the action in itself.
Now, before you go and sit in front of the closest TV doing a weak sprint on that stationary bike thinking "oh god 20 more minutes of this torture and I'm out". Read this and choose the one that is more appropriate to your needs.
**Number of calories burned on each machine is hard to tell as doing a really intense workout or a soft one,as well as the ability of each person to burn them, no matter what machine you are using, will vary the amount of them  GREATLY**

Rowing Machine:

Now this is a fan favourite by those who have been hitting the gym for a while, it gives you a complete body  workout and you will feel it almost immediately!.
A moderate intensity workout here for an hour, will burn around 493 calories, and uses plenty of your whole body to do the job,
While i don't recommend this for complete beginners unless you know what you are doing, you should definitely ask the gym instructor to guide you through this, it's not that complicated and trust me, you are going to love it, as far as i concern, it is more fun than running on the treadmill .

Treadmill

Probably one of the most classic ways of burning those calories on you and without a treadmill, a gym cant be called a GYM!
My friends and i call it the rat wheel, because it resembles the workout of such animal in many ways!
but don't get disappointed by that, one hour of this workout at 3.5 MPH will burn around 320 calories which is pretty amazing, again, it all depends on the weight of the person and intensity as well as variations (inclination for example). While i don't recommend working out here if you have knee, ankles or any problem associated with the shock of the legs constantly hitting the running belt ,this is by far one of the easiest machines to get used to, and it does the job damn well!.

Elliptical Trainer.

For a "softer" workout  on your joints, this is one of the best machines to do so, if it has the handles its even better because you can also work your arms and part of the upper body, you can gain quite a momentum while doing your workout either on low or high intensity, and use this to keep going for longer than in other machines, depending on how you can adjust it, its not only a cardio workout but your quadriceps and hamstrings also get a good stimulation from this.
Half an hour on this for a person Weighing 125 Lbs. Will burn 270 calories. Quite good eh? and by the way! bouncing like a bunny landing on the moon is actually quite fun.

StairMaster.

If you want to lose weight this is probably going to be one of your first options, it does the job pretty damn well!
A 150-lb. person, for example, burns about 360 calories in 45 minutes on the StairMaster
If you want to increase the challenge and the burn on this one, don't use your hands to hold the safety rail (keep your hands close to it in case you lose balance). this will ensure you get a very high increase of your workout level AND calorie burn. often neglected by new people, this machine shouldn't be ignored and you should jump on it on your next cardiovascular workout, but don't forget to bring that bottle of water! because I'm sure you'll be needing it pretty often!

Stationary Bikes:

This is my least favorite of them all , that's why it's at the bottom.
OK jokes aside, Stationary bikes are great and the basics of the Spinning classroom, but what does it bring to the table?
A different and complete leg workout! and a favorite by females, because it hits your glutes really hard!
depending on the intensity you can burn around 311 calories in half an hour of workout for a person weighing 185 pounds
If pedalling is done fast enough, this alone beats the above machines in terms of calorie burn.

All in all, all of the machines will do the job, they just work different parts of the body or multiple ones, some of them are better associated with people with injuries , some of them are better for people with severe cases of obesity, people preparing for a contest, overall endurance and age plays an important role in choosing the right workout with the right equipment, always ask a professional what better suits you, and remember to at least try to include always a few minutes of cardio on your workouts, trust me your body and overall health will thank you for it!

NOW LETS HEAD OFF TO BURN THOSE CALS!
